I can’t speak for the President but im sure he is very aware and working very assiduously to bring down inflation
We are very aware of the tragic situation of the economy as we too have families and friends in the matter and I assure you we are working night and day to make sure we see the light at the end of the tunnel
The situation is complex and long coming but we are very clear as to our goals and objectives which is to drastically reduce the poverty rate bf the next election cycle
We must commend Nigerians for their resilience.. Nigerians are known the world over for their can-do spirit and this is why they must be rewarded with robust governance
A Nigerian can live on N1, 500 daily while an Anerican would rather jump off the bridge on $10 oer day and that is the beuaty of the Nigerian spirit and this is not to say that cos of this, we would relax on our efforts.
We didn’t know the hole was this deep during the campaigns but we have rolled up our sleeves and are working
We have started recording little gains, the naira is fighting back, subsidy is gone, and food inflation is on the decrease, but we only just started, and the road is long and tough; we seek the support of Nigerians. All hands must be on deck
Seun you know our economy is tied to the global economy and as such we receive global economic shocks rendering our job much more difficult this is why we are pushing for a strong reappraisal of our economic levies in a bid to strengthen them thereby building a strong buffer
Let me assure you, that I have access and I must say that President Tinubu is up on his shoulders with Nigeria’s problems
We are looking towards technology, agriculture and Solid Minerals as our go-to quick wins
I must say that we do not take the mandate given to us by Nigerians for granted and we will do everything within our powers to justify the confidence reposed on us
Seun, let me seek this opportunity to plead for the support of the media in this fight. This is the fight of our lives, and we will surely overcome it; the poverty rate will and must drop on our watch.
