Peter Obi – why he has failed

The obedients and all others who follow Mr Obi play politics of ‘wishful thinking’ and this is why they are getting nowhere but survive by blowing hot air and distracting us from building a credible opposition

Now why has Obi failed again? Simple, it’s cos he is just a non-starter

The vehicle he has chosen to ride on is a vehicle where he lacks the capacity, the charisma the charm and the doggedness to play

He has chosen to lead a movement that is expected to build a groundswell from the general discontent of the people and into a tsunami of anger that will sweep these people away from government

A Mandela-type revolution, an Obama-type sweep and even recently the school boy sweep in the Asian country which led to the end of a very strong regime.

A Corazon Aquino-type movement that rushed the Ferdinand Marcos dictatorship out of the Philippines something many military coups could not do

A democratic Arab spring-type flame that would burn the fire of change and have millions come out to vote out and defend their votes

Obi in carriage, looks, outlook and engagement lacks the basic ingredient to inspire such a movement

He was very opportunistic at the last elections, jumping on a raging movement of youths who were very angry at the system and making himself the arrowhead of that movement

He didn’t own it didn’t internalise it, couldn’t control it but rode its wave into major sectoral electoral victories and a possible general election victory if we are to believe El Rufai

After that he lost the momentum, he moved away from the movement, not understanding its trajectory or its pain

They were of no use to him anymore and the movement lost its bite as its main figure was pimping around town attending birthdays, burials and weddings all over the country.

He didn’t honker down to engage the visioneers behind the movement that had corralled youths in their millions irrespective of age religion and tribe – Yoruba children gave him victory in Lagos oooo

Instead, he wasted all of these three years and at this late hour begins to hobnob with the ‘enemies’ of the movement in a continuous failed bid to ally to contest in an election against such an imposing opponent

Which serious leader straddles opposing tendencies in a bid to leverage both to overthrow a principality

How does going to ADC with a branch of the people’s enemies help his ambitions

Who works with establishment figures even in opposition and expects renegade purists to support him?

What do Atiku, El Rufai and Amaechi have in common with the forces that push the obedents or is this a classic case of my enemy is your enemy so we work together

Well, it has failed as Obi keeps changing political parties more than a whore changes customers

He has now jumped to the little-known NDC with no real national structures and peopled by the same kinds of people who inhabit APC and PDP

He will now expect the masses to follow him cos he is frugal and wears only one black caftan and black shoes

Obi is a major distraction as his gambits do not allow us the clarity to build a more purposeful opposition

He continues to distract us thereby giving the other side an easy route to victory

Who or what is NDC, i have even just heard that the legal challenges that drove him off LP and ADC have followed him to this new platform

I think 2027 is gone simply because Obi has been a major distraction and Atiku’s headless ambition has paved the way for Tinubu who despite this, is not resting on his oars as he continues to push very aggressively with his rice Armada

Truth be told, of all the candidates, Tinubu is the most purposeful, he is the most strategic and when you add the power of incumbency, what you get is a wrap and a slam dunk

Abuse me all you can, except the almighty comes down, nothing will stop a Tinubu victory as we have put our hopes on very unserious journey men who have nothing but inflated egos to offer us

We should now start working towards 2031, identifying strong and purposeful young men who would build enduring platforms that our ambitions can sit on

I mean if Tope Fasua and Sowore can build national platforms from the ground up why can’t Obi do the same instead of this borrow-borrow he has been doing all over

If you ask me, I will boldly tell you that Peter Obi is the biggest joke in our recent political history.

Come and beat me

Thanks
