Kemi, I love you, Kemi stay with me, Kemi are you there, Kemi na, kemi don’t go, Kemi Pls na, Driver just drive, kemi I love you
As I watched the clip, tears welling in my eyes, I stopped looking at Kemi but concentrated on him, his eyes.
They were sad, fearful and pleadingly hoping this would not turn into his worst nightmare
He looked rough with shaggy beards, the kind of guy who would spend his whole day at the beer parlour and one who wouldn’t care for romance or a wife
But this was not so. He had a soft heart like we bad boys all have. His heart was soft and he loved Kemi
As he cried, I cried with him. Each time, kemi whimpered like a puppy, he knew she was going and he would say – Kemi I Love you, hoping that his love would give her the energy to come back
But Kemi was tired. She didn’t have the energy to fight again, she was not interested and had given up and was on the way towards heaven
His voice, his pain, his love delaying her. Her soul was already gone but needed his consent to finish the journey
He wasn’t going to give the consent. He loved her, she was carrying his baby, and he needed his family
This was his first attempt, he needed to rush home to hug and kiss her and the baby.
Life had been rough, he was suffering hardship and wanted nothing more than to wake up to Kemis love, to his baby holding his hands and even if he could not feed them their warm smiles would encourage him
Drive on he shouted at the driver and that one in bewilderment said to where and he shouted to any hospital
He needed Nigeria to help him. He was in a relay race all he needed to do was to do his own part and struggle to a point and Nigeria would take the rest
He pushed, he encouraged his Kemi, let’s go, let’s struggle, Nigeria will take the rest from us, all we have to do is struggle to a point
As they rushed, they could see Nigeria in the distance and every minute was taking them closer to Nigeria
Kemi, we will make it, Kemi stay with me, kemi ohh my God we are almost there, see Nigeria ahead
Finally, they got to Nigeria and with one last push stretched to hand over the baton
Ohhhh my God, Nigeria has dropped the baton, no N500k deposit and Kemi looked at her husband one last time and turned and walked into heaven
He knelt down on the muddy floor, hands on the ground hot tears cascading down his face…
Nigeria has not only let him down but has moved on with the cruellest of motives
Kemi died…
I can’t even stop crying. Pls can anybody help me with his contact, so I can go visit him and just hold him
Sad😭
