They say that we are in the month of women. We just finished International Women’s Day, and the noise was deafening.

I broke into a women’s day session organised at a big bank where the panellists were talking about the challenges they had to go through to succeed

The participants and organisers were blinded to the fact that the panellists were super successful

One was a Bank Chairman some 20 years ago when we were still a relatively closed society.

The other was a super successful Investment Banker. MD at her office and an influential legal mind

The third was an excellently successful Actress and businesswoman who admitted to living the soft life

The hall was filled with very well-fed bankers who were well dressed and well-taken care of, sitting in their designer wears and lamenting about the need to give women a better chance and oblivious to the real women just down the road who were hawking under the sun in serious impoverishment.

We are being fooled. The cry against the so-called women marginalisation is a smoke screen aimed at distracting us as they stealthily take over leadership in all strata of human endeavour

Take the banking system. Today, a good percentage of women are MDs in our banks, and if you climb down the ladder a little bit, you will see a lot more women.

In HR, women dominate. Everybody who has worked in well-structured organisations knows just how powerful HR is, and the CFO and guess who occupies most of those positions – women.

In Entertainment they are holding their own. In the multi-trillion Naira sex industry, they are the majority; in Fashion, they lead. Education and health are in full control

They suffer in areas where they have natural disadvantages, like Agric. Politics, enforcement and Military

But if you really look at it even in those areas, they are on the Board rooms, control towers and position of control

So why all this noise? Is it easy for men? Who says being a man is a walk in the park

I have worked for about 30 years in Finance, Media and now Entertainment, and I am yet to be convinced that women are having a raw deal in these areas.

In my sojourn in Finance, I can tell you categorically that I didn’t feel any advantage over a woman simply because I was a man

But instead, the women got softer padding. They were not shouted upon as much as I was, they still called them Madam and me a motherfucker.

Any Banker can attest to this. What limited them in banking was the consideration that they were mothers and wives, and as such, some postings were not offered to them, and these made some of us move a little faster.

The truth is that the female entry level would hit AGM faster, more often than not, than the Male entry level in most cases. I stand to be corrected

As they face challenges in the workplace, we sef dey face.

As they are sexually abusing them, they are sexually abusing us too. As they are bullying them they are abusing us too

As they are bullying you, they are bullying us. In fact, women are their own worst enemies in the workplace

Female bosses are usually a terror to their junior colleagues or even their mates and after, they will come and be shouting women are being marginalised when its their sex that is doing them

Men have lost leadership in the family, at work, in government and in society.

The saying – behind every successful man is a woman is now more than ever before too apt.

Cos today, behind every successful man, a woman is pulling his strings and you may never know except her livelihood or status is threatened and you will now see a Mrs Akpabio come out to bare her fangs

From Tinubu down to the main guard on my street, you find all of us with women pulling our strings either as so-called wives, partners, girlfriends, colleagues, besties etc.

The real women suffering don’t even have a voice. They litter the streets, villages, hamlets and ghettos and guess what, men are suffering right there with them.

Men must wake up to the reality of female power. It’s such a pervasive and hypocritical force that you don’t see it till it captures you and enslaves you.

Mbok I forgot one other powerful force when I was talking about the corporate setting – mbok who makes up the bulk of Company Secretaries

Women do, and if you know the power that office wields, you will just keep quiet.

Women know how to form covens. Yes like their colleagues in witchcraft

They are meeting in cells of churches, fellowships, mosques, and social clubs indoctrinating the younger ones and selling their plans for a world takeover

You will not feel their power until u have a little fight with your partner and then you begin to feel the way they move in, pull your so-called soul mate and before you know it, you are living with the devil

Sisterhood is very powerful; they lose common sense when one of them has fallen.

They gather, rush in and rescue. The weapon of choice is usually allegations of sex crimes, misogyny and the like

Once a woman shouts sex harassment or rape, it will take Jehovah to come down to save the man

Women lose sense, they forget about justice and due process and any attempt to defend the man you get labelled – a misogynist, rapist defender and then they will end it with – shebi you have daughters

If there is any grouping that really needs help, it’s men.

The more successful we are, the more stupid we become

We start talking about treating women right, we start talking about partnerships and equality which on real terms is subjugating yourself to the power of a woman in the name of modernity

Let me ask Mr Midern,m man when there is a very violent issue, will the modern woman hold back and agree to a ‘mature’ conversation?

We all know the answer – while you are waiting to get home to discuss it she is tearing at you with verbal blows

The weakest of the human species today is the highly educated man who has been zombied into accepting a lesser hand in life

Today all institutions of state are in firm support of women. Try and win an argument against a woman in the Police Station, and you will see what I am talking about.

Let a woman go file a false report that you slapped her for the sahi of this report, if you don’t receive 600 blows from stupid men without even asking you your own side come and call me a bastard here

We have like 100 Mother’s Day in a year, countless Women’s Day, and barely mention Father’s Day or Men’s Day.

This International Women’s Day should be a day of mourning for men, for now, we are firmly in their armpits.

This is not to say that there are no good women. We have.

In this Natasha matter, have seen strong women come out to say – oh no this is wrong but they are immediately shut down by the mob

See how they bullied Senator Ita Giwa and the other female Senators who tried to look at the issue differently

We must begin to engage ourselves from our own cells, engage and strengthen each other and stop being pretentious and hypocritical when it comes to facing the real toxicity of male-female relations in society.

I an kuku celibate so no sanction can come my way that will really pain me except they come and beat me

Thanks

Duke of Shomolu
