Dora & KOKORO – well done team

I want to express my deep admiration for the work, the team did in executing this project

Over 4,000 people saw these two plays and we pulled in the largest numbers of corporate Sponsors for a Nigerian theatre project

The organisation, from auditions through the event proper, was almost seamless.

I am particularly impressed with the quality of the technicals

The two sets were world-class, surpassing what we are usually accustomed to. The sets were neat, of high value and very effective in telling the two stories

The costumes were of high quality. could not help but marvel at their beauty and quality

We had some glitches with the sound otherwise I give it 70% next time, it should be 100%

Our media and strategy team did excellently. The combination of Sidis team and Joys team pushed us into a new branding imagery and this reflected in the demographics that attended with an unusually high number of young people

The quality of the posters, the quality of the promos, the clips and all were world-class

I have seen initial figures on the media reach and it was marvellous. Well done, team

But you must improve with the turnaround of your clips after each show so that we can use them to promote the next shows

Ticket sales improved. Very far from the target but a very strong showing as it beat previous efforts and for that I also say well done to the Media team

Ticket sales remain our most critical area and all hands must be on deck to ensure its continued growth

The Directors worked with so much professionalism not interfering in other areas of the production

This gave them ample time to concentrate on their core area, directing

In the past, we had directors who dabbled in costumes, set, lights and even in welfare and this caused a lot of confusion and wahala

Dr Ogundeji and Dr Adumati proved worthy of their professional reputation and shied away from all of that

I must sincerely thank them for their efforts at promotions – the TV and Radio interviews and the posting on social media plus their independent productions on social media which initially annoyed me

Media should, going forward coordinate all of the efforts, ensuring it meets our standards and forging a cohesive execution

Let me single out Joy and her team for having the boldness of designing and selling to me the new strategy of involving influencers – this gave us a strong fighting chance on social nedia where our competitors usually beat us

Its as a result of their efforts that Kokoro and Dora was being carried by other platforms and even got positive reviews on platforms that are associated with competition and for this I say welldone.

We took out billboards and instead ramped up the budget for media and this worked perfectly. Welldone guys.

Finance and Admin did well. It’s not easy administering such a huge project by only two people, especially when one is a nursing mother – well done

Stronger efforts however must go into the quality of our contracts, taxation, receipting and our relationship with the banking account officers.

The Executive Team did well especially in managing the shows during the events.

Kudos to Duchess for anchoring, kudos to Yemi Shodimu for his contribution esp his dance intro

Exco must begin to be better involved in marketing, coordination and the general run of things as I continue my gradual withdrawal from Duke of Shomolu Foundation.

We will be organising more capacity building initiatives for not only Exco but the whole team esp in areas like processes, decision making, agreements, delegation etc

Emem pls work with Fagbure to agree on a date and time for the agreed strategy session as discussed

Let me once again thank Dr Adumati and Dr Ogundeji for a simply wonderful work and to also say that their performance has not only vindicated us but has raised interest in the remaining four productions

This easter season we beat every other competitor and well done guys.

Well done and thanks
