Duke, good morning….I woke up this morning reflecting about our dear country and my conversation with Mr Bayo Ononuga last year came to mind. I called him in the middle of September last year to share an idea with him. My suggestion to him is how the government can use the 65th Independence Day to host Nigerians that are involved in intertribal marriages. A gala night in Anuja to celebrate the likes of the late Muritala Mohammed who had a Yoruba wife, Obasanjo’s late wife is Ishan, TY Danjuma’ wife is from Edo, IBB’ late wife is Ibo, Sir Emeka Anyauku’s wife is Yoruba, the former SSG under Buhari (Bob Mustapha’s) wife is Yoruba, former governor of Ondo State late Akeredolu’s wife is Ibo, the former governor of Oyo State who is now late also had a an Ibo wife. The chairman of Channels TV John Momoh’s wife is Yoruba, Dr Biodun Shobanjo’s wife is Ibo, RMD’S wife is Yoruba, Davido’s wife is Ibo and luckily the present president’s wife is from another tribe (Tsekiri)….
Unfortunately the president’s spoke person Mr Bayo Ononuga didn’t respond well and I am beginning to feel that a lot of people in government are not deep thinkers.
