What a way to spend Christmas Day by watching Ebenezer Obey, the Musical Show.
The show opened up with three men drinking at a Miliki Spot (beer parlour) educating a Gen Z on Obey’s peculiar entry to the world, his humble beginnings to the Superstar he is today.
It was a great cast, brilliant Actors, good choreography and the singing of Obey songs, were top notch.
The show encapsulates Obey’s humility, kindness, challenges, resilience and successes. Above all, the turning point from being a Juju Musician to singing gospel songs, spiced with juju beat.
Emmanuel Adejumo (Baba Sala’s son) – Writer of the play.
Yemi Shodimu (seasoned Broadcaster & Actor) in his element as Compere and part of the cast.
Another feather in Duke of Shomolu’s (aka Joseph Edgar) cap.
If you are around the Muson Centre tomorrow, pop in to watch the show.
