The spotlight really shines on the contributors and not those on the power list
Very few people like brilliant Dakuku Peterside got it
The contributors who wrote the essays are those we are looking at to form a new theoretical framework that an emerging new leadership would leverage as we build a new Nigeria
So when people struggle with who is or should not be on the list, I laugh
The Powerlist is made up of the good the bad and the Ugly
The few good men on the list were allowed to contribute in writing their profiles while the bad and ugly got very scathing profiles
What we are saying about the bad and the Ugly is that we put you with a big head and a big tummy because you are part of the malaise, and although you have power and influence, we do not respect you.
From the tone of the profiles all 100 written by me, you would easily see the good the bad and the Ugly on the Powerlist
The good, despite the Sodom and Gomorrah-like environment, went ahead to build impact, push positive development and shine a bright spot in the huge darkness that we find ourselves in
The hope is that new leaders would be inspired by the works of the good who have impacted in the various sectors, leverage the framework of the contributors and begin the painful rebuilding of our Nation
This 532-page work which has been described as a 10-in-one book, is my own contribution to a new Nigeria
These 50 contributors led by such bright minds like Prof Kanyinsola Ajayi SAN, Babatunde Fashola SAN, Dr Nonny Ugboma to mention a few have delivered some of the most brilliant essays you will find on the Nigeria Socio-economic and political epoch that I cried as I read some of these very mind-blowing essays
The Good on the power list have thrown up some iconic individuals all chosen by the conclave of 50 brilliant minds who took their minds in selecting them
Those who have seen the initial final manuscript have sent on some very brilliant reviews and we ourselves who put this up remain quite proud of what we have done
532 pages, 100 caricatures, 100 profiles, 50 essays, a forward written by Prof Kanyisola Ajayi SAN and a directional essay written by Ogiame Atuwatse III CFR the Olu of Warri who made the Powerlist obviously on the good side.
We are planning a black-tie event that would attract an International Speaker where the issues raised in the book would be discussed over exquisite food and wine.
There would be no launching of the Book as it would not be commercialised
Only 500 copies would be published with contractors getting one complimentary copy and Chief Emeka Anyaoku getting an autographed copy with as many contributors as possible signing the book for him
This was indeed a mad endeavour
Come and beat me
