Yesterday, I had a stringent chat with a guy who was really struggling not to insult me on this Natasha matter.
I have been called so many names that I have lost count
But three things have made me take this position
The Pastor who was accused of raping the young singers wife the other day
The mob bayed and cried for his head. Nobody listened to him and eventually, he was vindicated
Much more recently, the young doctor who was accused of having sexual relations with an underage
Oh he was roasted by the public, reputation damaged and bagged a life jail
On appeal, all allegations fell and the wife is now a subject of interest to the authorities cos of all the allegations that were later found to be spurious and which led to his earlier wrongful conviction
The third case was that of the young Finance Director who was accused of drugging the lady and having carnal Knowledge of her
He got a suspension, was dumped in jail and was messed up publicly
Everything was later found to be false and he was quietly released
I met him somewhere, and he said – Edgar, I will talk at the right time.
It is the way we dump due process and the principle of fair hearing once these accusations are made that it is for me
Once an accusation is made, the man is guilty-ohh he has been raping for long he even raped his mother; he should be hanged, ohhh.
Nobody is taking time to even look at the facts of the matter.
Oh, she is telling her truth. She is very brave to tell her truth- they will scream.
And anybody who as much as tries to say – ohh, let’s even listen to the man would be labelled a misogynistic bigot and all.
My people, my watch ward is conviction.. Once I have listened to both sides and I’ve made up my mind, I cannot be objective again
Cowards hide under being objective and do not say their minds for fear of reprisals
See this case, the sexual harassment part of it was not reported for two years and was conveniently mentioned during this fight for seats
Oh, Akpabio has a history with women. He was slapped by another woman. He used to test women for HIV if he slept with them – how that is an offence beats me.
But in so doing we will not look at the ladies past which is even more colourful than Akpabio
Multiple children from multiple men as alleged. Hubby was beaten into marriage as alleged and Reno Omokhiri’s damming submission
All of these should be ignored simply because Akoabio held her hand and whispered – enjoyment – two years ago.
To date, Akpabio has not been sued for sexual harassment by this lady. To date, no real evidence either phone records, pictures or any other admissible evidence has been offered on this matter and yet we are supposed to hang Akpabio
Very weak men would jump on the Natasha train and say – oh, she is one out of four women in the Senate, and as such, he touched her bum.
When we see a definite case of defilement, we will shut ourselves hoarse. We will defend the victim male or female and be in the front of the crusade to seek justice
This one is an opportunistic push using the very sensitive and emotional umbrella of sexual harassment for a personal mission
This is very sad cos it has thrown back the fight for female emancipation for another ninety years, thereby crippling the struggle of real victims.
This woman is a joke
