Zik&Obey – tear your shirts

Guys,

We are close to the cusp of history. We are the first troupe to deliver two major Nigerian plays in London ever.

Even if the halls come out empty, it will not erase the fact that we have raised and spent N180m on this.

I understand the pressures, the deprivations which has thrown up tension within the camp

Stress is all part of it and infact I would be very worried if there are no fights

Fights are a part of high performance and that is why I shout and loose it cos of the adrenaline

You must reconcile with the fact that you have corralled 100 people, spent about N20m on plane tickets, soent another N2m moving heavy costumes and props, delivered billboards in six tube stations in London, with six billboards and have the full support of the Dr Azikiwe and Ebenezer Obey Families.

This is no mean feat. I remain proud of you and enjoin you to keep fighting

Ticket sales are moving – obey has crossed the 60% mark, Zik is picking up at over 40% your job is to keep rehearsal going so you give a perfect show

Remember this show will announce our N2b Capital raise so we must fight to stand

Tayo remains an amazon, pulling this together and I appreciate her courage, her strength and her tears

The rest of the team are simply the best that I can possibly be blessed with

From the airport lay offs spanning hours, to the visa refusals, to the financial and technical constraints and you guys are still working together as a team

From Ikoyi to yaba to Newyork to London the team is pushing and pulling making history and smiling and fighting while at it

I love the shouting, I love the fighting, I love the snapping, I love the tension and I want more of it.

I will do everything within my powers to encourage the anger, the abuse cos there you find the energy needed to push to the finishing line of this huge project.

Keep the abuse coming and keep the shouting and fighting at the highest levels, Iove it.

Nobody shd sha abuse me o me, I will slap somebody o

Thanks

Duke of Shomolu
