Kola Adeshina – I will beat him

He hardly takes my calls and be calling me aburo every time we speak

Is it cos he is taller than me, or he is finer than me or that he is 1,000% richer than me that will be making him to be raising shoulder for me

Me, I don’t like him o. You should all know who I am talking about by now

It is that tall black man that will be carrying afro like Wole Soyinka when that one went to seize the radio station

His name is Kola Adeshina, and he is one big man in the Sahara

A lot of people will be asking me, why don’t you like oga Kola, and I will be saying, why don’t you mind your business

Why should I like him? I will be asking the mumu people who are doing Amebo all over the place

What has he done to make me like him? Is it because he is part of a huge Nigerian international conglomerate with presence in over 80 countries of the world?

Is that enough for me to like him, or because he is a strong member of the Presidential committee on something that I should now come and like him

See the fact that he made the 100 most powerful people in my Maddtimes power list Coffee table book was very annoying to me cos the more I deleted his name, the more people kept voting for him

At one point, I said him or me and one editor said, ” Edgar, common siddon and don’t try urself

Kai, my envy erupted to the stratosphere during his 60th when Presidents from all over the world converged to celebrate him

I died when I entered the Hall. If that Hall had collapsed, the foundation of business and democracy in Africa would have been shaken

I refused to eat that night not cos the food was not delicious but from what we call bad belle as a result of all the giants in one room who came for him

So, this time, I had made it a point of duty to dodge this his birthday

Then one busybody sent me a message – it’s your man’s bday, won’t you write something for him? I said, what concern you, it’s not his birthday; his birthday is next December

The busybody sent me a notice and a letter from President Tinubu congratulating him

See this Tinubu o, this man wey never know how he will collect Osun from the dancing Governor is now having time to write a long message for Egbon Kola

No wonder Atiku and Obi will continue to abuse him. Is this a problem, celebrating a man who has, for all intents and purposes, put jobs on the table for thousands , driven an optimistic view of the nation and delivered a life worthy of emulation

While Tinubu is on it, he should kukuma just make him head of one fake agency so we can rest

Let me tell you guys very briefly why I don’t like this egbon

This aburo that he keeps calling me is only 5 years senior to me oo

When I was born, he was not wearing pant o, and he will be drinking Ogi upside down on his mother’s knees like Yoruba people used to feed their children that year oo- na him be this aburo oo wey I no go hear word o

Well, as I was saying, since the time I met him, he has supported all of my productions.

If this man never give me money, it’s almost N20m; he has bought the Maddtimes wey never come out. He is on the advisory Board of the Duke of Shomolu Foundation; he has pledged to be the first investor in our private placement; he is flying his whole family to come and see Zik and obey in London and he is speaking at the Masterclass that I am organising

This kind of wickedness that Oga Kola is showing me I cannot comprehend

The kind of wickedness that he is showing me is like that Otunba Ashiru who I really, really do not like

Well, I will not wish him a happy birthday today, no matter what he does

All of you can abuse me or shout; I will not open this my mouth and say I wish you long life, God’s continued favour and sound health.

I would rather be mauled by 100 wild horses than send my gracious prayers and salutations to this very wicked man

You guys had better come and beat me, cos my mouth remains sealed cos I will nver say Happy birthday Egbon

Thanks

Duke of Shomolu
