The secret of my success

I may not be a billionaire yet, but I’m a multi-millionaire- yes, in Naira-, but when you convert it to pounds, it’s another matter

My income status is not that I have the millions in the account, but I am asset-rich and seasonally rich, liquid-wise

Seasonal liquidity, in my case, means that I may wake up with N20k, but by the close of work, like N10m would have passed through me to various sources and initiatives

As an investment banker, I know the importance of cash flow – it enables you to bridge, borrow against, boost your credit status and enable you to do things

I have one of the most consistent cash flows in Lagos, and this allows me to live a life of fulfilment

Now if you take this my writing as boast, then stop reading and eff off cos this is not for you

But if you take this as – he is trying to say something, continue reading

Now, my cash flow is one of the best in Lagos cos I live a life of total fulfilment

I can afford almost everything I want, and that is the trick: what I want is tied succinctly to my income bracket and to my lifestyle

I can afford the kinds of clothes I like; I can afford to live where I want to live – at some point I was paying rent in Yaba, Gbagada and Magodo at the same time with no shaking and in real modern flats.

I can eat in any restaurant I want; I can holiday anywhere in the world; and most importantly, I can send my kids to any school I want in this world within my income bracket

Am I wealthy? NO, am I rich? YES, are my riches sustainably enduring! NO, can I fall back into poverty? YES – but not the Olumide Ohunayo type o

So what is the secret of my success in this life

GRACE. It is nothing but grace.

Now this is a quantity that cannot be measured, leans into different definitions, flows with no source and with no end

It produces goodwill and opens doors and gives you what we call good luck, and it is this good luck that opens doors, allows you to do things that even you will be wondering

So how do you get and sustain this grace?

Me, I don’t know o, but I hear people say Edgar you have grace, and that is why you do these things

Some people have used prayers to get and sustain it; others have used juju; some others have used the power of persuasion, and others have used brute force

For me, I don’t know my own o. But I sha know that once I enter a room, it lights up.

God has given me charisma, gift of the gab, small good looks, huge confidence, no ego and ability to cry – I can cry for Africa

All these, though, is not enough to produce grace, cos a lot more people have this thing much more than me and still do not have grace

Well, after thinking about this last night – one former Governor just called me out of the blue – Edgar, I no come your masterclass, I no believe in am, but send account make I dash you money, and he sent N6.5m, the exact amount I need to pay house rent in Canada, UK and China

Now that is another story; I’ve been doing about N5m monthly consistently on rent alone o in the US, UK and Canada, minus school fees and living costs for the last 7 years, all with no savings, no investments and no consistent income base – you see why I am talking about Grace this morning

The way God meets me at my point of need is another reason I am looking at this Grace

So this week the rents are due, and I was not even bothered as I was concentrating on preparing Alvin – Yes, his visa just came out, and he too is off to China this week

Then I looked at all my accounts and na N260k dey there; I shut it down and continued researching Nollywood porn, which is now a past time, when the oga called and gave me the money.

So why am I this ‘lucky’ in life?

I have good health for my age, I have vitality, I have fucking GRACE

What is the secret?

I have thought abt this thing so well and have come to only one conclusion

WIDOWS

yes widows. I love them too much and you know they are God’s widows

Now widows are not just those whose husbands have died but also those whose husbands can’t stand anymore

So yesterday, I was sharing fish, and my friend said, ” Me, I don’t want fish, Edgar; you know my problem and I said Yeah, we will deal

Her hubby is down with kidney disease and must do weekly dialysis; her problem was not fish but her hubby’s life

I have been giving her N100k as often as I can, but last night God said Surprise her and I raised N740k for her

Now imagine what she would have done last night-she would have knelt and said, God, you see this Edgar..

Now multiply it by all the widows that just sit down and see N500k in their pockets when they had nothing – the prayers on my head, no easy.

Multiply all these prayers to God on my behalf

Someone said, me sef dey do, but I no see grace

Well, if you do am like investment, it will not come, but if u are sincere and do commot eye no matter what, Grace will come

Na the prayers of widows and the rest that can make me wank, not go to church, generally live a life of hedonism and still face God’s true love

No mind me for this last paragraph o

Truth is that I really do not know why God has chosen me for all of this love and kindness

Whatever it is, he should not stop o cos if he does, he go bad o

Make una help me beg am ooo
