Sadly, the announcement of the coming to Nigeria by the globally famous JP Morgan leaves Nigeria with a bittersweet taste
Sweet in the sense that it heralds newfound confidence in our economy with the attendant benefits
Bitter in its almost all ‘Yorubanisation’ of its top echelon
While one could argue that an organisation of that type do not go ethnic in its consideration, one knowing Nigeria and our present crop of emperors very well can safely deduce that either the promoters of JP ‘Yoruba’ Morgan would have studied very well the present calibration of power in the country and decided to ape it or must have been arm-twisted to do the same.
All you have to do is look at the ethnic colouration of the Federal Executive Council and the colouration of strategic appointments at the federal level to understand what just happened to JP ‘Yoruba’ Morgan in its first missionary journey to Nigeria.
Even if the JP people made the mistake, the CBN, if they were not enmeshed in their Yoruba superiority garb, would have pushed for a more balanced representation in their leadership
This is crap
Come and beat me
