Two things out of our control would have scuttled The Dukes Masterclass: Ebola and the French President’s visit
The French President now decided to visit Nigeria on the same day we would be hosting the Masterclass
This would have taken off 20% of our faculty, as they were pencilled in to attend events around the visit, messed up the attendance of the VP, Alhaji Kasheem Shettima and hit 30% of our attendees who are top executives of their firms.
As if that was not enough, Ebola suddenly appeared last week and chose Abuja to make landfall.
With a 94-year-old speaker, two people flying in from the UK, and participants still undecided, we had entered turbulence

Macron suddenly changed his mind, postponed his visit and WHO suddenly announced that there was no Ebola in Nigeria

The Duke’s Masterclass will be taking place at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel on the 29th of October, with Alhaji Kashim Shettima, Nigeria’s Vice President, delivering the keynote address and Chief Emeka Anyaoku leading this faculty
