Let me just quickly say something about this fella. But first let’s be sure that it is d same Femi Omotosho and not any other Femi Omotosho
Me i know at least three femi Omotoshos, just like i know two Segun Adefilas and three Wale Adekoyas and two Wale Oyedeji
Why Yorubas are not very robust in their namings beats me.
Well this Femi Omotosho is a Pastor and former Banker with Access Bank and GTB where he made very good friends with people like Wale Oyedeji who is the GMD at First Holdco
Now Femi is retired and is now the Chairman of a growing micro finance bank and is also a giant Real Estate mogul
Apart from all of these, his biggest appointment is that he is my friend.
Now I have many acquaintances and very few friends.
People mistake these for each other. The fact that you eat afang with me, share my gist, come for my shows, listen to my stories, cry with me does not make you my friend, you could still be an acquaintance
My friend is like someone like Femi Omotosho.
We have no linkages- him na Christian, I no sure wetin I be. Him na Ekiti, me na Uyo so many yhings will differentiate us but there is one major link
The man like me genuinely. Yes very few people like me genuinely.
A lot of people like me for so many reasons and I see thru them
Very few like me genuinely and Femi is one of them.
I hardly talk to him, we hardly even see and when i see him, he is always giving me stories about his life in Miami and Canada and his growing micro finance bank or wishing Wale Oyedeji well – that is his main concern or gisting me about Nigerian banking system and all of that
But when he talks to me, i see genuine love in his eyes even on the phone, I sense true intetest and well being
Its strange cos apart from one small money or the other for support of our plays, he has not given me any major money but my spirit just beholds him.
He will be the last man I would run to in terms of need. I dont even think he has power to fight but something just makes me like this person very genuinely
I have watched him in misery when one Bank MD was bullying him.
He will call me and talk for minutes about the matter and i will say – make I fire? And he will say no ooooo
I just dey gist you and I will say – no dey give me this kind gist if u no ready for war.
Femi is astute. He is a true Nigerian and has really paid his dues
We met at the Lagos Business School where we were part of the SMP 32 class and where he was one of the big Banking big boys in class with Jogie.
I used to sha look at him from far as he would be dodging to ask or answer questions but his charisma stood him out.
You will be wondering why I am writing this on him this early monday morning
Well no reason beyond the fact that I have my phone, na me buy my data and you are on my broadcast list and as such you have no choice but to receive it even if you no read am
