As expected, I got a lot of emotive feedback from my declaration that Peter Obi has failed
Many of his followers are just that – scatterbrained maniacs who are doing a lot more harm than good to his ambitions
The vitriolic came in their thousands yesterday and from all over the world and it all dribbled like water off my feathers
I have a thick skin when it comes to things like this and nothing you would say, will get to me.
Yesterday’s diatribe was just the beginning, my plan has always been to throw in a follow-up and here goes
I think we should just forget 2027. It’s sealed and gone.
We lost it cos the Obedients kept feeding their leader with hot air making him feel that he was much more than he was
Today with no platform, no real structure on the ground we are heading towards an election with an ogre as competition
We can’t all be shouting that the system has been rigged and you now be jumping from one party to the other seeking validation from the same system that you have no confidence in
One morning you are calling for the head of the Chairman of INEC and the next morning you are going to him to ratify a new party
The next time you say the Judiciary is bought and skewed and the next market day, you carry yourself there and be waiting for judgment that you will now turn around to lampoon
This is why I am saying that all these are a game at the expense of the Common man
When otherwise experienced politicians make these kinds of amateurish moves, it’s one of two things – either they have sold out or they are plain not sharp enough to play the game
Say what you want to say – as a detached Observer, the APC has it all sewn up but their unholy ways still make them panic
So what would I do in Obi’s shoes?
I’ll simply go back to the people where the ultimate power lies
I’d forget my self-interest and realign my ambition
I’ll truly forget about the Presidency and work with the people to push through civil demands for true reforms
I’d ask the people to meet me in front of the National Assembly, INEC, judiciary, Army headquarters and demand the sack of whoever has been undemocratic
I’d push a full wave of millions of Nigerians who will take to the streets, sit down, clap, dance, and play music in a giant demonstration of dissatisfaction with the way things are
This would push for a recalibration of the elections, which may not hold and the worst the government will do is to declare a state of emergency which would be a pie in their face
Things will now begin to happen, talks will be called, the international community will align, and the enemies of democracy in powerful positions will either recant or run away at the face of people’s power
But do you know why Obi can’t do that? He is SELFISH
He has a messianic disposition believing that he has come to save and no matter the platform Nigerians will vote for him again
This is not what we need in Nigeria today, what we need is deep cleansing, a deep purge that would remove the National stain of corruption and avarice which didn’t start today but started from the day we got independence
Obi is a detraction cos some of us have put our hopes on him and deep down in his soul he knows he cannot deliver but is too ashamed to say – this one don pass me and this is why he keeps following the motions and jumping from one party to the other like the proverbial clown who keeps knocking his head on the wall hoping it will move
It is Obi’s head that will break and not the wall of corruption that we have surrounded ourselves with.
Ive spoken
come and beat me.
